The Force Awakens

i have had a ritual since 1979 (when released in auckland nz)

i have been to every first session of all 9 star wars films on big screen (yes even the revisited editions)

for the first, my dad took me to a movie prior.... and when the preview came on he said a light came into my eyes that never left!!!

that's all i talked about for months

we waited in line for hours before and at least 2 hours it took us to get our ticket (civic theatre auckland city)

and we made it... just

this happened for the next 2... exactly the same

remastered versions wait not as long... was in my 20's then, saw one on my birthday after taking a tab of acid.... u should have seen what happened when the death star blew up!!

then the last 3... the same but saw them all in brisbane australia

revenge of the sith came out 1 year before my first child was born.......

now for the last 6 years at least, my kids have lived and breathed star wars also

so when this was announced all i could think about is continuing the ritual... a birth right if u will

for star wars to continue... a snag.... midnight sessions with little kids, day before their last day of school.. in the hot australian summer they gotta sleep beforehand, as they won't be able to stay up til midnight.... (dressed up of course) with all the people, til 3 in the morning, arrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhh!!!!

so... i have decided.... as hard as it is... to break traditon!!

a new generation....

a new start...

we have tickets on friday december 18 at 6pm

we have the costumes......

we have a new tradition

about to awaken....

I'm going on Thursday night with some of my family at a great theater with assigned seats (don't need to show up 8 hours early to get good seats)

I took Friday off of work because I plan on... enhancing my visual pallet before the show.

So excited =)

I remember seeing Phantom Menace opening night; while that trilogy was ultimately extremely disappointing, the experience of opening night was great.

I'm sure the same will be for The Force Awakens (although I'm really hoping that it is far superior than Phantom Menace)

this is gonna be the biggest thing ever....

The machete order is good, however, Phantom Menace is easily the best of the prequels.

Liam Neeson and Darth Maul outrank anything the other movies bring to the table.

While midicholrians, toddler Anikan, and Jar Jar can be tiresome; it's all far better than the other two movies.

Episode order: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6

I, because I'm an adult and I can tune things out, ignore the midicholrian bullshit much like I ignore when people talk about Jesus around me.

The Force is the Force.

Thursday is gonna be awesome!!!

=)

The news broke this week that the alien language was created by a Finnish young unknown woman from a rural town, Sara Forsberg, who got Lucasfilm's attention by this v-blog video

Cool, I'd seen that video before but didn't know she was Finnish.

Yeah. She could tell about her involvement and past 18 months work with Lucasfilm only after the world premiere. When she got the e-mail and job interview invitation from Star Wars she thought it was a joke. Why they'd not use some language professional she thought. • 4 weeks later...

I went to the Greek premiere in costume with my fiancee and two cousins. I'm not a huge Star Wars fans but we had a blast. The film was ok, can't say that I was blown away, it has more of a sentimental value.
I like them in this order 4,6,5,7,3,2,1

Here are some photos, we had light sabre fights with the Jedis as we were all Dark Lords. I was surpised that there were a lot of girls in Jedi costumes too. I was Darth maul with a Yoda lightsaber
