Novoice Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Hello, I search for a Proggi album with Drum-Variation: double or triple kicks. I cannot good discribe it, so here a youtube link, for explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xIch1udJF0 Must not be that extreme as it is in the video (but the track is KILLER!!!). Between: what is the correct name for that kind of beat? Thank You!!! Quote
Padmapani Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 i don't think there's a name for that. it's just that the kick drum pattern is not the most boring pattern possible. tbh, you'll find that all over goa trance but i haven't yet heard a single progressive track with some variety here. even in fullon it's just a simple four on the floor pattern >99% of the time... Novoice Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Ok, I name it: kick drum pattern variety Search for Proggi album with this in every single track and a pattern which come every lets say 5 to 10 seconds. Must be dominant. Ovnimoon: Trancemutation of the Mind has it constantly. Unique for Proggi... till now, hehe. Quote
astralprojection Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 haha epic thread. here, have this, it has special beats and is proggi too. probably not the proggi you want but like Padmapani said it's rare to find that kind of special on proggi psytrance. this is more proggi goa if anything in the more literal sense, with proggi meaning that it has evolved. as in progress. Novoice Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Why ist this thread epic? Hmm, this track is not what I am looking for: no kick drum pattern variety. Quote
astralprojection Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 oh I thought you would like the drumrolls. and the proggi :/ oh well. good new year for you. Quote
Novoice Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 For You (all) also a good new year... Quote
lumpi Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Well, off the top of my head I can recall this one It was released on Hadshots' "Heavy machinery" compilation. Maybe you wouldn't really call it proggy nowadays but it was considered kind of proggy back then. Quote
Novoice Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks, I forgot to say, I search for an album... Quote
