Guest gallowglass Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 anyone else from psynews go to this? i found the event through psytrance.us and drove 500 miles (it was worth it for real). hux-flux's set was fucking crazy (although i dont remember it...acid is awesome hehe) and neuromotor blew my mind (i had never heard them before). maybe you saw us...we were the 3 confused looking guys not dancing and staring at stuff in awe...lol Quote

Guest gallowglass Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 i was impressed by the magnitude of the scene in nyc...at the hux-flux party i was handed flyers for at least 3 other events, including one with cosmosis and space cat/avi algranati. it's cool that psy is picking up there, but not cool that it's so club-oriented...it seems almost like any other clubbing type deal although the music is a LOT better. and the people were all laid back for the most part (except the regulars at the club...they looked pissed hehe)...so i dont know what im complaining about, other than the expense (30$)...i just get a bad vibe from clubs. id much rather go to a party in a nice outdoor setting or a large empty building. (i went to penta/psysex in seattle last august...it was in a roller rink...awesome). even so, i have no reason to keep bitching...club or not, i was still able to go psycho to hux-flux and be around a lot of fellow trancers... Guest ciotera Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 I was there.. And I was also totally blown away by Fred's set. What a way to charge the crowd! It's kind of cold for open airs. But come spring and summer, I'm sure there'll be a few. I'm just glad that there are now a couple of organizers here who are doing a really good job with their parties, putting a lot of effort into them, and bringing artists from all over, not just Israel.
