antic604 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Not sure about the music (typical morning full-on / prog with triplets and the like) and the pretentious reference to "art" in the title, but the cover is very nice: 1 Quote

Ormion Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Astrix came a long way in the covers. From this to the new one. Let's hope the music is better too. 1 Quote
Imba Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Cover is good but music: 'Prog made for Brazil' 1 Quote
Paul Eye Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 The cover looks like another collection of psytrance clichés 1 Quote
draeke Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 True, i find it quite disturbing actually, as non innovative from any point of view. Furthermore, if it is indeed progressive psy, a better cover would be with modern vibes. I like the drawing but i think it has nothing to do with the release and many would be confused expecting oldschool goa maybe... unless it is a market move as everyone seems to go oldschool lately. the goa constrictor Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 astrix is a guilty pleasure I don't follow deeply or anything but I do think he is in on the joke he can out-cheese man with no name and has a special place in my bubblegum pop heart Quote

Cynos Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Really good cover art -that would look better on a Goa album- for boring, generic and cheesy music. Btw, his old stuff is better. Quote
Penzoline Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 This album is actually pretty damn good I feel. The production is flawless and there's plenty of interesting elements to make this stand out some. True, i find it quite disturbing actually, as non innovative from any point of view. I disagree. The cover is quite apt for the first track. Quote

recursion loop Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Don't care about the cover. I've listened to the album once and thought that it is not bad. But for some reason I never wanted to spin it again since then. Nothing tells me "whoa I have this He.art I must listen to it again right now!" Quote

But for some reason I never wanted to spin it again since then. Nothing tells me "whoa I have this He.art I must listen to it again right now!" Yeah, I'd say it's the definition of 'derivative' and 'conformist' - we've heard such tunes countless times and there seems to be no depth in it... Too bad, but on the other hand one less CD to buy Quote
frix Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I know I shouldn't. ;D But from time to time I really enjoy Astrix stuff. His new album is no exception. Quote
BASS-O-MATIC Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Astrix bashing is very popular on this Forum, but the Album is really good. Top notch production, interesting tracks and it makes a lot of fun. Quote
Squid Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Of course it's good. At least he doesn't reinvent the 90s goa wheel... Quote
