Guest Manu_S Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 the album where you can find the track "You can be anything" Quote
Guest 303 Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 yes, this ---> http://www.discogs.com/release/31747 also Star Travellers is a very good track, Space Tribe makes 1 album per year, but after Future's Right Now all are very more boring and repetitive, he don't changes the formula Quote
Guest beng Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 [space Tribe] - Sonic Mandala - (1996) - Spirit Zone Records Quote
Guest Forrest funk Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 instämmer: sonic mandala... space tribe back in the days when they where good. You should also listen to "cicadas on DMT" one of the best tracks ever... Quote
Guest Space Tribe stinks! Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 Sonic Mandala and The future's Right Now are cool. Don't touch anything else from that guy, they all sound the same, no progress at all. Quote
Lemmiwinks Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 "they all sound the same, no progress at all" hey, let's not forget that "that guy" also is behind Psyko Disko and Quirk, 2 of the most innovative groups ever... Space Tribe is just the name under which he releases "straight" stuff SMI²LE Quote
Guest FlyingCircus Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 hi lemmiwinks, i think you're not right in this case. quirk was tim healy and mark allen and psyko disko is ollie olsen i didn't hear any of any space tribe side projects yet. if i should be wrong please correct me :-) Quote
Guest Adz Om Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 just to add to FlyingCircus post... Psyko Disko has the following members, Steve PSYKO , Fred DISKO , Ollie Olsen and Geoff Hales. definatley one of my favourite groups 8] and yes the earlier Space Tribe albums are for sure my pick of the bunch! peace. Quote
Lemmiwinks Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 oh damn, you're right FlyingCircus. When saying "Quirk" I was thinking of the collaborations between Ollie and Boris Blen... sorry.... SMI²LE Quote
Guest krize Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 I would recomend " Religious Experience" (2000 I think) ... very very nice album ... Quote
KER Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 So discogs sais the best Space Tribe album (rated 4.4 / 5 with few votes) is "Electro Convulsive Therapy"https://www.discogs.com/artist/4777-Space-Tribe Any knowers of Space Tribe's LP releases that dares to post a top to bottom list? This album is awesome btw. Quote
technosomy Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 i agree, while i like alot of his stuff, the comments above sum it up but esp i think has real power, even though the full on sound, him and boris really clicked on this album for me Quote
the goa constrictor Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 This is a real worthy 15-year old thread to bump... Space Tribe, bless his heart, is much like Electric Universe. Not much variation between albums. Kinda repetitive in nature. Cheesy full-on, but good natured and hilarious. A few sparkling and shiny gems in the mix, lots of filler. Sonic Mandala and Ultrasonic Heartbeat would be my favorites, but that's only because they're the first and were interesting before I got bored of the sound. That said, Oli Wisdom totally changed the game for merchandise and is a true pioneer. Religious Experience might be one of my more favorite album covers, as it's just too cheeky and wonderful to be ignored. I couldn't tell you a single song or melody from the album though. Quote
Samsharp Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 for me its no doubt that the best is THE ULTRAVIOLET CATASTROPHE so many classics there!! Quote
