Scandinasia
Greetings everyone. After one year of absence during which I found myself unable to participate to this forum and to go at events, it seems to me that I could share with you the tracks that touched my heart in the course of that long period. These past few months I was less involved in the music than before. I did not pay attention to many releases and found not much interest in most of the psybient, progressive and goa stuff that came out. I really focused on listening on what I liked and here is a list of the tracks and releases that really moved me and that I remembered. Top 5 best tracks. These tracks have, to my ears, attained perfection. I know that I'll still be listening to them in years, and I find them to be absolutely amazing. N#5 : Arronax - Dive into Merak (NeoGoa records) A very pleasurable track that sounds like a dream. An overworldly adventure in a Fantasy realm populated by magical creatures and filled with grandiose landscapes. The intro is smooth and passionate. The track is litteraly epic. It makes me melt inside of me. This is what makes me listen to Goa music. This is my inner universe. But there is a little something that prevents me for calling absolutle Masterpiece. It's just a masterpiece with a non-capital M. Maybe because it's too repetitive in the middle. 8,8/10 N#4 : Suduaya - Astral Lullaby (Melusine records) Suduaya is one of the artists that got me into psytrance, but I really was disappointed by his recent releases. The psybient he makes tends to be commin, and his trance became very boring (generic prog). But this one really stands out. This is the vibe that made me love this guy in the past, but it is here taken to perfection. The angelic and serene atmosphere is perfectly crafted, and it conveys out-of-this-world emotions. The final melody of this track is more than awesome. This track is so positive that I immediately feel good when I listen to it. It is extremely sensitive and emotionnal. 9,0/10 N#3 : Katedra - Radiointerference (Global Sect Music) Soundcloud preview : edit : full track here Katedra project is one of the most exciting project that is. I get completely excited everytime he releases something on his Soundcloud's wall. I have one hope : that he finally releases an album. His released tracks are very rare. So, when Mystery of the Crystal Worlds was released, I got in a hurry and listened to this sound. And wow, it is extraordinary ! No Goa artist sounds this way. It is very profound, very calm-ing and very subliminal. Usually, listening to Goa music requires some sort of effort on the behalf of the listener, but Katedra has a special vibe that immediately gives you a feeling a warmth, of comfort. It puts you inside a cocoon of sound and makes you experience floatiness. A wild stream of well-being. 9,3/10 N#2 : The Digital Blonde - ARGO (JOOF recordings) Expect the best from JOOF. This track transcends the realm of trance music. It is pure atmospheric vibration with cinematic effetcs. ARGO is the name of a legendary ship well known in Greek Mythology. Here we immediately understand that it is the name of a spaceship exploring the outer realm of the know universe. This is some top-quality music. Every sound is perfect. The atmosphere is unique. The identity, the concept is very pronounced. You forget about the genre, you forget about the instruments. You just dive into a universe of sounds with many subtle story-telling effects and crazy melodies. The feeling is like that of watching a Sci-Fi movie, a very good one, of the like of Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within. What is awesome about this movie is that I am more prone to affiliate it to a family of Sci-Fi obras than comparing it to other pieces of Trance music. This is an example for every trance producer. 9,5/10 N#1 : Marian Closca - Autobot (Pulsar recordings) Do you know what is full-on Trance music ? This is : 9,6/10 Other tracks that got my attention : Nova Fractal - Perception (Sky Technology Remix) The melody is epic ! One of the best. Too bad that the track only keeps repeting it. Nova Fractal - The Wheel of Time A long awaited instant-classic ! I'm still waiting for the remix or the version that'll propell it to abolute perfection. That day will be bright as the Sun. E-Mantra - Leviathan : When I listened to this for the 6 first times, I had goosebumps on my arms every time and all along the track. Sky Technology - Be Like Water Very good ! I was really surprized at this one ! Top quality psybient ! Bravo ! Tegma - Odysseus Great prog. Elegy - Saturn It is rare that such progressive trance takes me so high into space. It's very formulaic, but it works ! Psy-H Project - Krishna or Maya Outstanding Goa blast ! Very good. Deserves a very good rate ! I am sure that I've forgotten some. Three releases that got my attention : 3_Profondita - Ciel (Altar Records) Refined Chillgressive. Perfect for going to sleep or long bus trips. 2_Ultimate Xperience - Lazarus Rising (NeoGoa) I like it. 1_Astropilot - Relicts This album is amazing. I recommend it ! Dmitriy Redko is really one of the best artist out there. This album is a summary of what he does best. It is exotic, elegant, extremely chilling and sensationnal. Top psybient. Releases that I am awaiting for : Crossing Mind, Merr0w, KOB, E-Mantra, Khetzal, Artha and UX mostly. + Morphic Resonance is to release some remixes of Pleiadians, and it's gonna be great ! I hope that you will enjoy these. Peace. ScanD. Edited August 23, 2016 by Scandinasia

Padmapani
thanks for this thread. i knew most of them and don't agree with others, but that digital blonde release and profondita are new to me and really good. argo sounds like a cross between the two trance classics john 00 fleming - healing and space manouvres - stage one (seperation mix). desysko
Any chance that you will do the same for albums? I always do enjoy reading your reviews and materials. I should get back and be more active, but I've been busy with other stuff. Haven't really listened to anything in the past year.
Scandinasia
@Desysko Hi bro ! A few months ago, I've told Jérôme Proxeeus that I'll make a review for his last EP. It's time for me to keep my promise. When I want to do it, I will. Then, if others release really please me, I'll try to.
