Guest Scat
I have been in to their music for a few years now and in Australia(where I live) they are getting more and more popular. What do you think of their music and growing fame. They get a really mixed response now. Some of the old school fans don't like their new sound...I think they are still fresh but really really well known...Have you seen their new website, have you seen them play somwhere else(other then Aust.) what were they like. The only bad thing I could say is when they play in Sydney they seem to get there right on time, play then leave. I don't know but for me a musician that can enjoy a full party and not just their set is better... But tell me what do you think???!!! ######################################## What was I talking about again??!!
Guest yoose lunit
used to love them, enjoyed their set out at Warburton (Victoria) a fewq years back but have to say their studio work and live sets are not what they used to be. Unless they are the same and it is me who has changed
khogg
My opinion: they are good... but not that good, and it has always been that way.
Guest Towelie
they are very talented but just make boring stuff usually .. for my ears
Guest DDrum
First 2 albums were classix, Gathering was the in your face assault and classical is subtle and at times briljant...BP Empire was imo a bandwagonjumping affair and they lost loatsa respect from many from there... Guest miKeLogic
I like their ideas for tracks, but the execution is not that great. And if you had to play out that often, you'd take the money and run too!! It's not uncommon for a popular act like Mushroom to be booked to play four of five gigs in a night. But I agree, it's nice when you get a chance to talk to the act and they come back and play at a house party all night Peace! miKe

Guest Raider
I still like them, despite a less dance-able latest album, I still find them inspiring, different and unique. I've seen them live two times, the first set was the best. But I don't regonize they leave the party at once, they were down with the dancing people the second time I saw them, and I accidently hit my arm into one of them... hehe. Guest grahf
converting vegitarians' trance side seems a lot less psychedelic and more clubby than their older albums. Still good, but they may be losing their edge.
Guest ben
i used to like them a lot... but after BP empire i just couldn't get into it anymore... Ok their production is really good but it seems like they are running out of ideas. They have no more great melodies, and their tracks on the first two albums were telling a story. Nowadays there is no story, plus i really don't like their sound, it sounds way too digital and plastic.... i have seen them live three times but that's it i don't think i would go to see them anymore, cause as i said i can't relate to their music anymore... Guest narwhal
Infected Mushroom sound different than the others. Sometimes it may seem that they sound less psychedelic but at other moments their music works your mind like nothing else before . You are pro or contra. I remember very vivid but senseless discussions between fans and haters on this forum. What astonished IMfans was the original and very well elaborated production of the tunes, so Infected Mushroom is much more than good ideas, anyone who ever tried to produce a psytrancetune will agree they are masters in arrangements and production skills. Today the best Infected Mushroomalikes are Beat Hackers, allthough I' m sure these guys will grow to their own unique sound.
Guest deeply disturbed dom
i am a true infected mushroom fan and still believe (even after the much criticised converting vegetarians) that they are in a league of their own in the world of trance. Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, as narwhal mentioned, the arrangement of their tunes in consistently astonishing. the structure and depth of their tunes, while perhaps not quite as psychadelic anymore, is nevertheless as good if not better than it has ever been. secondly, they haven't let their sound become stagnent, each album they have released has provided a fresh and innovative style that suits its time of release, as opposed to just a rehash of their previous work. I personally don't understand the criticism that their music isn't as dancefloor oriented anymore (which isn't even really true...take a listen to Bombat & Cream off the next album!) trance shouldn't have to begin and end on the dancefloor! Guest DT
They're my fav. group of all time. They got me into psy, and they STILL produce brilliant music. Many hardcore psy freaks don't like their style, but at least they have a style. I can't say the same thing for the thousands of artists out there who have the same exact full on style as any other trance-nobody. I'm going to catch them live in D.C. this year in may. This will be my first attendance at one of their parties. BTW, their new unreleased tracks, Super Vi'za, Cream, and Horus the Chorus kick the shit out of most psy that's been released thus far this year.
