antic604
This is pretty premature, as release of the album is vaguely scheduled for "early 2017" but I'm already excited, because Jamie "DJ Pogo" Patterson is responsible for awesome Wingmakers compilations on Dragonfly and Nano (that were basically his albums where he cooperated with other artists) and for Masters Blasters "Life Changing Experiences", which to this day stands out as one of the best - IMO - full-on albums out there. For now, only single track (a clip) is available... ...but it already shows the difference between him and most Nano Rec. artists: the mix is funkier, much denser and elaborated with lots of layering, subtle melodic hooks and gentle progression. Looking forwards towards this one! BTW, if you can't hear the difference, contrast that with soon-to-be-released album from Future Frequency "Freakuencies" (even the title is generic as f**k):
the goa constrictor
When it comes to Nano Records, Tongue & Groove are the kings. Funky, acidic, groove oriented psychedelic trance music. No full-on stomp. Just pure solid groove. They seem to be the extension of what the Green Nuns could have gone had they stayed together and what Dick Trevor seems uninterested in producing anymore. (sorry for the threadjack...)

antic604
Samples are up, which means it's coming real soon https://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/nar/nar1cd048.html EDIT: seems like it's out on 27/2, so not really "soon"...
Shpongled247
Certainly sounds like the Nano template to me..Perhaps with a bit more psychedelic flourish at least. Not to be a downer. But after hearing Dick, Tristan etc again live recently all in a row where it all just blends into the same almost long track.. This sounds like it would fit right in there unfortunately.. Not really hearing the difference you are talking about.. Dick and Tristan, Martian arts even etc have some tracks very similar to this kind of stuff.. Anyways, will give the full release a listen if you are saying there is probably more to it..

Well, might as well be that I'm projecting from his previous projects (Wingmakers compilations and Master Blasters album) which - to me - were a pinnacle of Nano-style full-on. We'll find out soon enough
antic604
Less than a week left & preview is up: It's clearly still a Nano Rec. release, with recognisable style, but - IMO - a notch or two above the average for the label. Very reminiscent of Master Blasters album, which is still in my top 5 full-on albums ever
