Best album 2016?

I agree with a lot of releases in this thread but strongly argue that Ephedra's Flying over the Universe also deserves a mention in this conversation. Maybe not THE best, but definitely of the better albums this year.

I'm pleased to some degree with the recent neogoa music, but for me... honestly, not a great year. Honestly feel there's a lot of potential that's not coming to life but... well, each to their own.

Sometimes I feel a bit sorry for members of Psynews who are not that much into Goa music, because in the end we (Goa fans) turn these topics in best Goa albums. I'm not an exception either, but I have to admit that I don't really follow other subgenres that much so I rarley can nominate something besides Goa. However, I will make the exception here and list this recently released album (available for free at Ektoplazm) really worth checking out (especially if you prefer a bit darker, more experimental and foresty psychedelic trance).

Speaking about the downtempo music, *Kanye West mode on* sorry, but Wardruna made one of the most outstanding, organic-sounding albums in recent years. *Kanye West mode off* Even it can't be considered psychedelic, it brings amazing atmosphere and primordial state of trance in the honest way adding up layers of goodness without loosing the grip or concept in whole trilogy. Favorite track: UruR
