Guest beto.psy
I would like to know from all of you which albums you liked most in the past year in those different categories : 1. Classic Goa 2. Psychedelic Trance (any style close to that works) 3. Chill-Out It will be interesting to see the answers from everybody. Please, dont criticize other people posts, but leave your msgs here with your opinion about YOUR favourite albums !
Hels
Wizzy Noise - Electro Theater (even though the songs are all the same ) Younger Brother - Flock of Bleeps... The rest of the albums I bought sort of sucked...Silicon Sound, Mumbo Jumbo...not worth 15 bucks anyway...now I jus trip off artists instead its easier that way... I'll start buying again when producers learn how to write songs/albumbs/carry out concepts instead of produce
Guest grahf
Shpongle - The Remixes (how could this not make the list...) Vibrasphere - Lime Structure (just recently purchased, but sure to grow on me, but good floating progressive) Younger Brother - A Flock of Bleeps (more posford touched music) Future Sound of London - The Isness / The Otherness (this is awesome, gets better everytime I listen. A must if you like both modern chill and 60's psychedelia) Amon Tobin - Verbal Remixes & Collaborations (0wnz me, the master of breakbeat) Everything else I bought last year either wasn' that great or didn't come out in that year. ----- I bought Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination too, but that did not in any way live up to the "as-good-as-Shpongle" hype. Each track individually is pretty good, but taken as a whole album it all runs together and sounds very much the same. In the same vein, Shulman's new album is an absolute masterpiece that confirms he is emphatically not another Shpongle wannabe (but came out in 2004 so doesn't get included on my 2003 best-of). Actually, I've only listened to this album once, whilst heavily bemushroomed, but I don't doubt that it will hold up just as well under sober listening. Lemmiwinks
there are a lot of albums I found great at first but then my love for them diminished with each new listen... But I think that the albums that stayed with me the most were Scatterbrain - Infernal Angels (psy) and Lumen - Esperanto (chill out) SMI²LE

Lemmiwinks
"P.S. Classic Goa in 2003?" yeah that's what I thought too... to my knowledge there has been only ONE clasic goa release last year, Ethereal - Anima Mundi and I didn't find it that good...
