antic604 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 No-bullshit, honest and straight-to-the-point full-on psytrance. It's not intellectual, very much one dimensional and formulaic, but - damn! - it works. You can hear years of dancefloor experience between the two guys (Olli Wisdom & Max Petersen) in a way they build their tunes, choose the sounds, construct the build-ups, drops and peaks. I liked a lot their debut from 2015 and this one seems to follow the same path. 1. Amazing Tales from Outer Space2. Mad Robots3. Out of this World4. Drop The Bomb5. Electric Kool A©ID Test6. LSD Party (Kicking In)7. LSD Party (Meltdown)8. Joint O’Clock9. recursion loop Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Listened to the samples, though I pretty much could do without it. I know their music and it doesn't change. Kind of psytrance equivalent to Motorhead, "fvck it all and go dance". 100% music for dancefloors but not what I'd like to listen to at home. Anyway, very groovy and top notch production. Quote
antic604 Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Anyway, very groovy and top notch production. Agree, that about sums it up perfectly. What I admire though, is they're not shy about it, it is what it is. And nothing more. I appreciate the honesty and sometimes simple music is all I need, e.g. today driving 500km at 150-160km/h you can't really hear a lot of detail in music, so albums like this are perfect Quote
Imba Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Full power, complex, superb production, perfect dancefloor music. Love it Quote
Celaripo Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 judging from the samples it is a pass for me Quote
Dolmot Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I think I checked the samples while gathering my latest CD order. My reaction for the first track was "heh, fun". Then already for the second it was "gah, not fun any more". Could possibly stream it for a while in the right mood, but it's not worth the money or space to actually buy it. 2 Quote
BraneFreeze Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Goofy but harmless. Basically an extended, demented musical cartoon. Not really dance music, but would probably work well at parties. Too much talking on the final two tracks, but good energy all the way. Quote
