Pycorket
I am a music enthusiast and super like the lossless audio, so, good sound quality means a lot for me. FLAC is an audio encoding format. It’s also a very good one for a number of reasons. FLAC is a “lossless” format, meaning none of the data from the source recording is compressed or removed (assuming you use the same bit depth [not the same thing as bit rate] and frequency range). This is inarguably a good thing. Lossless is the word of the year (or last 3) among audiophiles (and those who like to consider themselves audiophiles), but the implications of lossless have been twisted and manipulated in ways that are just not factually supported. But for some reaons I would like to convert FLAC to ALAC,what should I do? I tired so many ways but there still exsits problem. For example, I downloaded software according to a passage: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/flac-to-alac.htmlbut it can not support Mac, I want to try wondershare http://www.avangate.com/affiliates/marketplace/product/Wondershare-Video-Converter-Ultimate.html but it is too expensive, what shoould I do can convert my formats? anybody could help me? thanks
psytones
I have about no idea but you seem so lonely so I thought Id give it a shot to help you out on your audioconverter quest. Have you tried Audacity? Its free, and great. In my experiences. That is, if I got your topic right. *needless to say your topic makes me confused and Im not the right person to help you. Unless this helps; http://www.audacityteam.org/
thanosp81
Use WAV instead
Ake
The 'problem' here seems to be the extra-fancy ALAC format. Of course Apple had to create their own thing instead of going with FLAC. I suggest you ask for advice on some audio forum what to do exactly. Anyway it won't be that tricky i guess. On windows you can simply use foobar plus add-ons for the job and there's probably a suitable software for Mac as well.
