Guest tokyokid
A Film by Daniel Gräbner. Title: “Haschisch”, Genre: documentary film, Running time: 80min., Film format: 35mm/ 1:1,85, Sound format: Dolby SR Film location: Rif Mountains/ North Morocco Original version: French/ Arabic/ English with subtitles: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portugese and Dutch Year of production: 2003 A small village high up in the mountains of Ketama, North Morocco. Since centuries the life of the people that live here is intricately tied in with the drug hashish. Hashish as daily labour, hashish as a bartering good, hashish as business, hashish as the basis and philosophy of a social system, hashish as the medium of dreams and hashish as the reason for stagnation. The film sketches a portrait of this life: a look at work and daily family life; the drug; music and landscape as a metaphysical projection surface; the question of freedom in a globalized world; and, at the core of the film, the stories of the people. http://www.trance-shop.com/de/catalog/prod...roducts_id=3787

Guest dj nadi
well i saw the film and its actually pretty cool!! It describes the life in the small maroccan village, whose name we know from amsterdam coffee shops: Ketama. You get to see the life of 2 families living and smoking their way in the hash business (kif in maroccan), with the full process of hashish making, and some amazing views of maroccan mouintains landscapes. A great movie for an evening with friends around and it certainly makes you want to take the first plane to marocco...
