From Japan, the land of Far East, here comes a psychedelic monster "PHI".

Japan trance scene has been grown remarkably in recent years with fine domestic artists, "PHI" is the one who leads the scene since they formed in 2002. Compared with common trance live, playing tracks with no gimmick, they do the real time mixing at live and acquire their original flavor into live performance. They break the general idea for computer music and create dynamic, progressive, and original sound with full of live energy on their debut album which move them ahead to next level and this album should blow out crowd at party. "PHI" will be on Europe tour in this summer with having their debut album "PHINALIZER"

Some interesting ideas here and there, though I'm wondering... Is there only one unique way to make a bassline today ??? This immediately ruins an innovative track for me...

How can you make an inovative bassline when the frequency range of the bass is small? So you can do bass from 1-100 Hz and you can make around 50 variations with it and thats it for the 4/4 rythm

I will definitely buy this album, when it is released.. Sounds amazing.. And it is good with something, not Israeli in these days.. :P

i don't see how the freq range has anything to do with what you DO with the bass sound.. the problem is that people write a bassline that goes smthng like

do re do re do re do re do re do re do re do re do re do re do re do re

that goes from beginning till end of trak.. do all rock groups use the same bassline ???? and believe me there are plenty of ways to change your bass sound...

Totally agree with nik. Without an inspiring and varied bassline it's pointless.
