Lemmiwinks
yeah I've heard that the Lo-step reedit has made waves all over the "normal" clubbing scene... SMI²LE
Guest Dr. Krelm
"Beija Flor" by Shpongle ended up on the latest mixed CD by Anthony Pappa (Balance 006). Some mix of "Geomantik" by Prana was on a Sasha & Digweed CD from several years ago. FWIW, the mix of "Dorset Perception" on Sasha's latest CD is not the Lo-Step re-edit - it is a completely new remix that is actually really damned nice. Guest .::: E.P
I'll give you a little insight into how the business work. As a label (In this example, Dragonfly Records) you contact a hot shot DJ (in this case Oakenfold) and ask him to mix some tracks on a CD (in this case the "A Voyage into Trance CD). Then you pick the tracks (The Hot Shot DJ don't pick teh tracks - he just mix them togetehr and colect his fat cheque) and call it the best trance tracks in the world (well according to the label managers taste that is). This is how you hype some artists... It's called promotion and marketing Nothing revolutionary about it at all.... The trance labels just picked up on some promotion tricks from the major labels... That's all - Oh yeah and they hopefully sold some more CD's
Guest TjT
A couple of years ago I was in the Hugo Boss store in NYC looking for a suit and was pleased to hear them playing that 'Voyage into Trance' mix CD. I heard a woman near me saying "that's some crazy music". I found it pretty amausing.

Guest dZsonee
but who's sasha?
Guest Hallucinogenious
At the "Voyage into Trance" albums i remember that there was a track from you also Elysium. When Oakie (and Danny Rampling) mixed for Dragonfly he wasn't so much famous as he is today....
