Ormion Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Damn long time no see. Unfortunately work and various life problems got in the way and I haven't log in in a long time. The thing is that I completely missed every psy related stuff in 2020. Another problem is that I'm kinda broke so I stopped bying cds. Unfortunately following digital releases is exhausting since they are like...thousands. So what did I miss in 2020? I'm interested in every style except Progressive and super cheesy Full On. I also like my Goa a bit less formulaic. Bring it on! 1 Quote
Paul Eye Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 I'm kind of in the same boat here, last year I got less music (and especially psy/goa trance) than ever before, but still something. Here are some suggestions. I'll leave out the downtempo stuff, but if that's your cup of tea I can recommend some more albums First, actually 2 releases from this year (if you happened to miss them too) Moon Beasts - On The Edge https://goamadnessrecordsofficial.bandcamp.com/album/on-the-edge VA - Carpe Noctem https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/carpe-noctem Then, some 2020 stuff Triquetra - Human Control https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/human-control Maan - Floral Cortex https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/floral-cortex Goasia - Landed On Wrong Planet https://spacedockrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sdrcd06-goasia-landed-on-wrong-planet-lp The Maniac - Into Madness https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/into-madness Hypnoxock - Beyond The Wormhole https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/beyond-the-wormhole Quote
Penzoline Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 ^what he said + Lyktum - Mission 5D (I know its proggy but damn if its psychedelic.) Nebula meltdown - Selected Experimental Tracks 2001-2006 Va - Futurism Volume 01 I'd recommend more psytrance but everything is being released as singles only now, no albums. Quote

psytones Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 That feelimg when someone mentions the 3xCD release you worked really hard on and poured your soul into realizing = Priceless (thank you, so so happy you enjoy it) Back to topic: - https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/floral-cortex (worth the mentioning) - https://kaliearth.bandcamp.com/album/balder-ep (unique) - https://iboga-beatspace.bandcamp.com/album/snow-driven (the new OOOD e.p.'s are all cool) - https://manifoldstudio.bandcamp.com/album/cybered-quantum-entanglement (not as good as his debut, and I feel divided on the overall album being great or not - i think some of the tracks are too speedy) Quote

I've not been able to keep up with releases and as real life has taken its toll and I can't afford to buy that much. I started using bandcamp but Pystrance and Goa are often really expensive there. It's just too much to pay 10 Euros for a download. Because of this I started exploring other genres, there's a tonne of net labels on bandacamp that are selling their full discographies for next to nothing. I've now got thousands of albums to get through but it's mostly ambient, techno, chill hop, vaporwave. Does anyone know of Psytrance lables selling their discographies for not that much. Doesn't need to be super cheap but I have other priorities for where my money goes at the moment. Cheers Abasio Quote
psytones Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 @abasio Vaporwave .. that was a new one to me. To your question, we've made threads about it, free bandcamp stuff worth DL, and extreme offers, etc. Right now I know Neogoa is running a bargen on their Full Discography over at Bandcamp. My label Kali Earth Records got a good bundled price as well for the labels Full Discography - check it out, support? I'd like to recommend you going to Zenon Records and grabbing their free releases, like *img*: Quote

I mostly point out offers for physical stuff myself but Neogoa just had a nifty digital deal in there. Their discography is not that expensive anyway, I think. Quote
the goa constrictor Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Super Life Records was selling their entire discography for under $10 last weekend. Might still be going on I already had pieces but was worth it to just snag it all and support the label. I love me some James Reipas <3 Quote
