I will not describe every track here. I'm not good at that so I'm just gonna tell you how good this CD is. First of all this is not regular psytrance. In fact, it's very close to dnb but with psychedelic ingredients (psybreaks?). It's dark and drummy. I happen to love Timecode Records and this compilation is simply amazing. I like when labels break free and makes something different. This CD is the best since...the last Timecode release :) Clearly one of the best CDs I own. Got get this one folks!

Final Verdict: 10/10 (favorite tracks: 1!,2!,3!,4!,5!,6!,7!,8!,9!,10!,11!)

i really like the stuff you (& korrupt) did on the compilation, wery nice touch of trance in it... totally wicked :)

Two tumbs up for timecode for this release, besides from being my favourite label this release has shown that they have much more than 4/4 beats up their sleeve!!

Elektroboii-One day In Brighton

 

then a step under

The 2 tracks of Tone Deaf Junkies, Noxious in first plus Veil of Tears

& last Phyx -Wasteland

 

Anecdoct (mainly for french people) , The melody & leads used by Shift in U Can't Say reminds me a lot of Mylène Farmer songs :lol:

the Spindle Sect vs Artifakt track is actually my fave... and usually I hate rap music... but this track is just too good at the end.

Mix one part brooding Depeche Mode pads, one part British aggro Prodigy electronic beats, a dash of alien operatic performance, and just smidge of disaffected youth and place it all under the masterful eye of South African label Timecode Records.

 

Got yourself quite a package there big boy.

 

Proving that this label refuses to be forced into one genre Timecode punches you in the face with a dark break beat assault that has a little something for everyone.

 

Well, except trance that is.

 

This is nod your head goodness with brutal beats and a futuristic theme. It makes you wanna wreck sh*t. It makes you wanna hang out with the kids that your parents said had no future. You know those guys, smoking cigarettes with black leather jackets and scuffed up Doc Martens and pointy orange mohawks that made them look like a f*cking rooster. There certainly is an anarchy screw you undercurrent to it. Juicy basses and slamming snares form the chassis for rampaging electronica. The rapid fire rap even works. Don't know how, but it does.

 

While it isn't something I would listen to everyday, it is a fresh change of pace that is made for big speakers. And judging from the awesome cover they could use a fresh set. Looks like the pair I got bumping in the 96 Grand Cherokee.
