Guest schism
Compression tips: http://www.manleylabs.com/techpage/compres...rs_exposed.html http://www.digitalprosound.com/cgi-bin/get...ig_squeeze1.htm http://industryclick.com/magazinearticle.a...&magazineid=141 http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Avalon+V...5210%40home.com regarding your second question, it sounds as if you might have a few of the terms confused...i'm not sure what you're trying to ask but if you're talking about effecting a sound that you already have and making it "rhythmic" then try using an envelope to adjust the attack, decay, sustain, release etc of the amplitude (and depending on your synth, filter, pitch etc) and also using an lfo to cycle. good luck
Guest schism
If you can't afford a nice Manley or even an Avalon then check this out: http://home.earthlink.net/~djahnsen/
