SUGGESTION FOR CONTEST DOWNLOADS (for children)

I kind of beg to differ here, at anything less than 128kbps a track will be highly mangled.. personally, I wouldn't want anyone listening to my songs at less than 128kbps.. or eve 160.. unless the track is made for lower bitrates.. which means specially mastering it so that high frequencies don't sound so wishy-washy by using special eq and filter.. but that degrades the original track quality.. if you're on a low connection and really want to judge.. leave getright on a queue and schedule the downloads for when you are sleeping or not using your computer...

I hope that potential judges will download all tracks and listen to them all completely, and not just download the tracks that have kind of cool names.. Personally I downloaded all the tracks to date, and even the ones kinda generic names may be contenders..

According to the rules the tracks need to be between 160 and 192Kb.

I've seen a lot of 128kbit tracks have slipped in, there was even a 48Kbit one.

Unless it really grabs me I won't be paying much attention to anything below 160Kb since part of the points scored with me are going to be production quality. Certainly a track thats not as well produced but shows a lot of innovation may easily win me over, but I'm looking for something progressive in the music. Something I that I'd like to hear at a party or in a chill room. And for that I really need to hear the track, not just fuzz.
