Guest Rikard
Hey. I sold my Electribe ER-1 a week ago, and now i dont know how to handle the drums.. I use Cakewalk sonar for sequencing, and so the best thing would be a drummachine DXi plugin.. but i dont think there is one yet. So Ive tried to make the bassdrum in a litle app called stomper.. but i cant get it just right.. Does anybody know other software (real time or none realtime) which is fast to work with and capable of making basedrums that suits goatype of music? Guest 'CiD
you could try hammerhead... it's freeware. I used to use it. It's got a 909 kit and an 808 kit and a kinda cool blip kick. You could try it out. Here's the link. http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/ Hope this helps.
Guest yantra
waldorf attack is a pretty cool vsti percussion synth, but i don't know if it's available in DXi format.. maybe with the vst-dx host. it's the closest thing you can get for the electribe. Guest Protex Midget
Rebirth, Drumatix, Beat station... or just use some pots and pans!
Guest loomchild
The best is to use sampled Bass drums. There are several tools u can use -Stomper: it's a nice freeware only dedicated to generate Bass drums. The kicks are kewl but a bit too ...harsh sometimes. -Soundforge: I saw on http://www.infected.co.il how Erez from Infected Mushroom used soundforge to generate his bass drums. Worth a look. -Subbastard: A lil freeware, not verry stable IMHO but which could generate som enice kicks and Subasses. You can find all that by just typing these proggies' tittles on Google or whatever. If u can't, just mail me! Loomchild
Guest Rikard
Thanx everyone for ure answers.. i guess im gonna stick to using Stomper for bassdrums. The problem is then to use the kick in cakewalks.. its a bit ankward to make soundfonts of every litle sample i wanna use. Thx!
Guest noctilucent
I think the best way is to generate bassdrum in BUZZ, it's free, at www.buzz2.com or www.jeskola.com, the programs comes with many generators and efects, all free. I use it myself and I find it awesome(I can get the same kick like MFG,Luminus, Oforia...very easy). It's not for bassdrums only, it's a modular complex program on which you can create whole goa tracks. Also very good quality. hope this helps... enjoy life and taste love. Guest etherdesign
Well if you miss the ER-1, you can download the ER-0 drumsynth here: http://www.electropia.co.uk/ it makes WAV files like stomper, but the interface/controls are the same as the ER-1 (the synthesis section, no sequencer or anything)
Guest loomchild
I've tested previous versions of the ER0. The interface i ssimilar to the KOrg's one....But not the soundz......... It's nice for generating old-skool analog kiks. For Goa-trance Stompin' kicks I'm not quite sure this proggy is the best.
Guest etherdesign
Well you still have to add some eq, compression, etc.. to pretty much any kick.. if you haven't.. try the MixBass plugin by PSP.. that really add alot of thump to anything bassy.. Guest Rikard
Ouch.. that ER0 software really sucked... not even realtime. And poor sound.
