Guest akindo
Ok, I have also read that one should use 2 harddisks, one for OS etc., and the other one purely for audio (I don't know if this means both for storing the sound files used to make up a track, and to record the track onto this harddisk). Anyways, I was thinking, wouldn't it work just as well to simply make an "audio" parition on ones harddisk? Or is the harddisk then too busy? Also, any general ideas how large such a partition should be? I read 20 GB somewhere. What I have now (if it can be repaired) is 20 GB total, so I may need more. Lastly, do I really need a seperate harddisk/partition? Is the read/write activity really so intense that the harddisk can't keep up? Thanks for any help, psychedelic trance producers!
