Jupiter 6 or Micro Q?

I know it's an old debate more like analog v digital but they r around the same price and I'm wondering what would b the better for psy....J6's may not b around forever but the waldorf has more functionality in the studio with better midi implementation etc....any info would b appreciated

Well.. they have a totally different sound.. I guess it depends on what other gear you have, if you have none, I would say hands down the Micro Q.. but if you have some synths already, the Jupiter 6 is a very nice classic synth with very good filters, as a whole I would say the Micro Q is definately way more versatile and more fitted towards psy, but the Jupiter is much warmer and is good for stuff like synth strings, leads, etc.. you won't get too many modern crazy noises out of it unless you run it through a bunch of effects..

Thanks Ether.....I have some digital synths and an analog roland already. One thing I don't have a lot of are effects. So maybe I'm better of with the Q cos' they r around the same price.Thanks.

analog is the way to go, digital is clearer in sound but analog will have that good old warm sound, i use only analog synths, digital is for suckers!! hehe
