I don't know very much about monitors in general, but how sensitive are the (Genelec) monitors on how/where you put them in the room? I live in a pretty small apartment.. ;)

Also, as I don't use any hardware anymore, do you guys think it'll be any good just connecting them directly via the soundcard?

You really need a mixer to be able to connect the Genelec Monitors... They are "Active" monitors and need a proper "big" lead..... They do not use any amplifier since the allready ahev it build in....

I think (but this is only my opinion) that they are some of the best small monitors and I love that you are able to hear low - middle and high completely clean without any overlapping..... I can only tell you to buy these monitors..... and nott because I use them myself or because they are made in Denmark :-)...but because they truly kick ass.....

Place them about 2 (or more - not closer) meter away from you and make sure that they are at least 4-5 meters apart in order to obtain a good stereo picture....

Ok thanks for the tips :)

What do you mean with "a proper big lead"?

Buying a mixer just so I can use monitors seems is a bit annoying (we also just sold the great Yamaha 03D-mixer, not my money though :( ...).
