Guest akindo
I just did this today in Fruity Loops 3, made a kick that I relly liked. Try to use the standard Fruity Loops kick. Then go to "Effects", use the 7-band EQ, lower some of the values around the middle, increase some higher. Fool around with this until you like it! Guest Rikard
Why dont you make a kick in some other program and just import it into Fruity?

Guest triplex
i use soundforge to make the kick sound from scratch. synthesis/simple/sine, apply lot of pitch bends and then lot of EQs to make it sound exactly as you want. make sure your sound doesn't click in the end (fade it out corectly) and doesnt last more than 200 ms. i mainly use kicks that are 100-140ms long. that is because they will mess up with the bass later. you can also check your sound with the freequency analysis. make sure you've got some nice 45-65 hz freequencies on your kick if you want to make it sound MASSIVE if you dont, use EQ to lower the middle and high freequencies a bit and then normalise. Guest Rikard
Can i have som samples of kicks you made with Soundforge? I find it very hard to make kicks from scratch in soundforge.. its a hassle. Would be nice to hear some kicks made in SF.
Guest Jikkenteki
Rikard Infected Mushroom's web page has a page with screen captures showing how to make kicks in Sound Forge. That might be a good place to start.
