Guest Inukko Posted November 6, 2001 Posted November 6, 2001 Kind of a weird question... how are trance tracks mixed/recorded? Do you just set different sequences to different keys on the master keyboard, & then play along in time for as many "takes" as necessary, until you have a good enough DAT recording? Or can it be more "automated" than that (ie: the sequencer stores data & plays it at the correct time)? And can you fool around with the mixer settings in real-time, or does that require another person on the keys? I know, strange question... I'm just starting to learn how to make tracks with hardware :-) Any explanations you can give would be highly appreciated. Quote
Guest spiralix Posted November 6, 2001 Posted November 6, 2001 I can maybe help you! Well there are some diffeernt ways of working.. but in my case, u connect you hardeware with the computor(MIDI).. then you sequence and compose in the computor!.. you wont have to do anything att all live as you are recording to dat or HD... Most synths have recordable controlls to so you wont even have to record synth tweeks live either! Quote
Guest Inukko Posted November 6, 2001 Posted November 6, 2001 So then, you don't touch the master keyboard during mixdown, just write step-by-step and have the sequencer play it all back for you later? Or am I misreading here... Quote
