Guest Epsilon
This thing is mysterious: What's diffirent between Supernova 2 kb and Supernova 2 Pro X? Strange thing here is that Supernova 2 Pro X costs $200 less than Supernova 2 kb. Novation site says that Pro X has polyphony of 48 and kb has only 28. So how is possible that pro x is cheaper? Guest Skritch
It sounds like the Supernova 2 Pro X that you are talking about is the rack mount version. The keyboard version of the Supernova 2 (24 voice) is more expensive than the Supernova 2 rack version (also 24 voice). In fact, as you've found, the fully-upgraded Supernova 2 Pro X rack (48 voice) is cheaper than the keyboard version of the non-upgraded Supernova 2 keyboard (24 voice). I own a Supernova 2 Pro X keyboard (48 voice), I love it, and I wouldn't trade it for a Nord Lead, a Waldorf Q, or a Virus. Most of the presets are smooth-sounding, but with proper abuse of the parameters, you can get wicked psy sounds out of it that easily rival those other VA synths. The keyboard has a very nice feel to it, and it has replaced the other synths in my setup as the main controller I play.
Guest Epsilon
Hoho. That Supernova 2 Pro X is the keyboard version. It was heavily discounted. (Original price tag says 3100€ but they replaced 3 with 2 so its 2100€. I ordered that thing today and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
