Guest Entity
Does anyone here do live shows with full computer set ups? I look at the set up that i am using to make music (a random mix of hifi equipment, and computers) i can not imagine how on earth I would set this thing up somewhere for a live show. Do you play your music live? Do you play a mini disk or dat and mix it live? Some people don't like this. I never mind so long as the music is good and mixed well. Do you set up a full pc w/ monitor? Any tips on shrinking the load?
Guest pesito
im not doing any live acts....but, i know that most of the artists (not everyone), pre-record a perfect mix of their songs, sometimes removing what is possible to do in a live act, sometimes they just throw samples and effects, a guitar riff, some nothes here and there. there r no rules, but give what could seem to be a live performance (i heard that etnica play the music live) and the most important thing....to take everyone into a journey with u... Guest Andreas of Amygdala
I'm actually planing a live-set right now, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do... In most of the tracks, I'm gonna record the rhythm-section, and then fool around in melodies on the keyboard - just as if I was playing a single instrument with a band. That will probably cause some B-notes, but what the heck, it's more fun than only turning the volume up and down, right? Some patterns are impossible to play, but luckily, my Waldorf has a vast amount of knobs, and turned together in the right place... U get it - so it'll be a blend of playing notes on the keyboard, and turning knobs on the MWXT...
