Guest emptyspace
4 stands for the octave. Change the octave to 5 in the last G#4, G-4, ---, C#4. (leave F in 4th). Add 3 step delay. It will sound a little like astral projection.

Guest aonia
try any combination in the PHRYGIAN scale: F# - G - A - C# - D
shpongled
Inukko... chord = when you play two or more notes at the same time. Aonia... is that really a whole scale? There are only 5 notes.. usually there are more notes in a scale.
Guest Inukko
I know what chords are... but what are you trying to use them for? That's my question.
shpongled
I would like to use chord progressions in music... not just one note melodies. It's very hard to make "non-cheesy" chord progression.
Guest aonia
The Phrygian scale(used mostly in indian music) is a pentatonic scale, which means it has five notes: F# - G - A - C# - D - F# You can make chords like C# - F# or probably any combination of these notes... Hels
The Phyrgian scale isn't a pentatonic scale... It's the third mode of a major scale. An F# Phyrigian is F# G A B C# D E F#.
Guest Elysium Project
I use chords in my music shpongled (most of the time strings and other "natural instruments")...... it's not that hard to learn........ but I agree that you need to be careful so it wont sound cheasy :-)....just play around with it and you will come up with something that sound good! Guest aonia
Hels: I found a site about music scales where it says Phrygian is a pentatonic scale, it might be wrong though... this is it: http://tyala.freeyellow.com/4scales.htm Or maybe I got it wrong...I'll check the site again.. Hels
Ah I see...read above on the section entitled modes...it shows a full Phyrigian scale there. The pentatonic section is odd, I've never heard anyone using a Phyrigian pentatonic, or a Lydian pentatonic! Neat stuff I'll have to play around with em, see how they work out
