Guest cemsez
I just got The Rolands MC-307 Groovebox....but for some reason I have not been able to make it communicate with my computer thru midi...I have done everything like the manual says, but nothing happens...I tried to control Reason with the knobs of the MC-307, but There seem to be no signal coming out of the Gbox midi out port....I hope someone would tell me what could be wrong...is there some special setting in Gbox thast I just havent noticed? Guest Mike Indidginus
Have you set up the preferences in reason to accept the right midi ports?

Guest Mike Indidginus
If you're trying to connect 2 bits of equipment through the same midi port, it won't work...
Guest cemsez
no no...I m not trying to use 2 bits of equipment thru the same midi port at the same time...I ment that my keyboard works normally with the curent reason settings but the MC-307 wont...NOT at the same time (I first disconnect the keyboard)...I think the problem is with the MC-307 setting but I dont know which one....ofcourse there is always the possibility that the midi out port in the MC-307 is broken : (
Guest Lemon Head
If the cutoff controller number in your mc-307 is 74 (it could be something else) it doesn't mean that it's same in Reason... so you might have to change settings in Reason. Guest Rikard
Cutoff is CC# 74 in reason also. Make sure that u have set the same channel on both reason and the part from the 307 which u are planning to use. U should go thru and check ALL the midi settings in the 307 and check so that they are correct, otherwise go to ure local music store and ask them to show u how to do it. Guest Slidingtrancer
You have to make sure you connect the KNOB on your mc-307 to a parameter which is unused, then go to reason and LEARN from MIDI input... I got my Clavia Nord Micromodular working this way ... (i'm so thrilled,... if it wasnt for my computersystem and soundcard breaking down .. ) and my completely lack of time, studying 24/
