Shpongle Bass...

Hello everyone who are truly living as they are and wish!

Now... I have this question. I've been producing music for a while (~3-4 years) and I heard both the shpongle albums. The thing that mostly amazed me was the way Simon Posford worked the bass. The bass work was just perfectly in sync/sound with the rest of the track and i'm curious if anyone know what gear/sotware he used for the bass sounds in the shpongle albums and how he got everything so clinically clean and still fat?

I know he is an audio engineer/technician but i've been studying alot on the audio techniques and been experimenting alot myself but haven't got it as fat and clean as the shpongle tracks yet. Anyone who could help me out?

Lots of success to you all till next time.

Most of the bass on 'Tales of...' seems to be live acoustic stand up bass, he had quite a list of performers for that album as well as live shows.. so.. find someone who plays upright bass in your local symphony.. and after that a mastery of compression and eq...

Well... yeh i believe so. But the bass is always there even in Shpongle album one. the bass is plain clinically clean. It's like he molded it himself with fingers or maybe he just got good samplecd where he sampled it from and put it down into his sampler and used it there.
