Guest Pswede
What problems did you encounter with WinXP and Cubase (I run v5.1) ? I haven't installed WinXP yet but I was thinking of doing that IF Cubase with plugins work with it!..

Guest psychopat
PC restarting alone ?????!!!!! It seems to be an audio driver problem. Have you try to run the audio configuration tool before launching Cubase. It's a standalone executable file installed in the same directory as Cubase. I can't remember the name, I'm thinking of "setup MME" or something like that but MME. Nevertheless this tool has to be used to configure/test the audio system VST will use. Run it first and check if your soundcards drivers are OK, tweak settings to get the lowest latency. And then run Cubase. But if the PC reboots itself, it migth be more complex. Try to download the latest direct X drivers for your soundcard.
Guest SpaceY
I use cracked versoin of cubase and logic by paradox.Do you think maybe thats the problem??
Guest lifeform
spacey... Yes. Go buy it. Problems with cubase on XP, to Pswede... With my whole system was malfunctioning very badly. Very slow lots of crashes, lots of freeze ups. But once you get the sound card to run smoothly and update all your drivers to the most recent and get all new windows updates things should go fine... Like on most systems ... Changing to standard PC is always best. Switch to background tasks and get rid of all the stupid windows programs that eat your CPU up. It took alot of tweaking about 3 weeks of work. But i got it rock solid now, and it's awesome. All plugins work fine. I know on XP your CPU load cuts back about 15 percent then on other windows platforms... but hopefully that'll be fixed in 6.0. Xp's working good over here, and it looks alot nicer than the others too! if you do end up running into problems if you do upgrade... and you need help. You know where to find me. Strumpling
Yes. purchase the software, and then it will work. If it doesn't, you won't have to run to the forums, you can run to Steinberg. -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- I'll bet that guy's rich now - steinberg..
