Guest Simple pimple
any synths or modules? or it's just a puter based prog like Fruityloops?
Guest antic
buzz is fully software tracer-like program. It doesn't need hardware synths (but has midi support), samples (but can also work with them), but virtual software synths (machines), drum machines and effects - you can tweak every parameter they have. But frankly it's very unpleasant in use - weird keyboard mapping (at least for a tracker , less friendly layout of patterns (you create single track instead of whole pattern - I feel better when I see notes for all track, not just one , small number of tracker-like effects... You should try Psycle too - it's very similar, though looks much better...
Guest aonia
Buzz is very very flexible and modular... I'm not ashamed to say it's one pf the best programs out there...(maybe the best) Instead of working with programs that do everything for you and have "user-friendly" interface(Reason, Fruity...) you better work with Buzz even if its more difficult because you learn what makes a good sound and a bad sound. I say this because in a Buzz generator you get a "dry" sound(saw, sine) and then put it through effects, so you learn what the sound is "made of"... I've been buzzing for 3 years now and from my experience I'd say I wouldn't give Buzz for Reason... I know its a little off topic but I had to say this b/c I like Buzz so much... antic: the kbd mapping is very logical, is the same as Pro52.
