Guest Phaedrus Posted January 31, 2002 Posted January 31, 2002 Hi All. I am an aspiring DJ and I have been recording my mixes using Sound Forge 5.0e. I want to take my long wav file and put track breaks/numbers in it with either sound forge or any other program I can get my hands on. Can y'all help me? I cant find out how to do it with the manual or help file in sound forge as of yet, but i am guessing there is a way... Thanks in advance! Quote
shpongled Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 I heard people say you can do that with Nero... I dunno about SF.. might be that you can't. Quote
Guest etherdesign Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 It's pretty easy with Wavelab, you just drop markers when you want a new track and burn.. presto.. dunno why people are so hung up with Sound Forge it really is totally inferior to Wavelab.. especially look at the master section.. I can load six VST or DirectX plugins at ONCE.. listen to the effects realtime.. tweak them so that they all sound good together and then render it. I can't imagine doing one effect at a time anymore.. Quote
Guest Andreas of Amygdala Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 Hmm, where can I find this fabulous waveLab...? All I can find is some weird MatLab5.x thingy - that's not it, is it...? Quote
Guest Mike Indidginus Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 Wavelab is a Steinberg product... Quote
Guest Phaedrus Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 Thanks for the help all. I am definitely not married to SF - I don't even know how to use the thing (obviously), but it was readily available. I'll try WaveLab and Nero. Quote
Guest Andreas of Amygdala Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 Steinberg, eh... - Okay, that does it... Now I'm getting Kazaa... Quote
Guest U Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 You can do it with nero, just take the file and put it in as many timesas the tracks you want to be on the CD. Then change the startend point of every track according to what you want, and then make 0 time space between the tracks... Works great! Quote
Guest Full Lotus Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 Have you tried Sonic Foundry CD Architecht? Quote
