Hels
Hey anyone know any major differences between the rack version and key version? Seems to be a lot less knobs and whatever on the rack...does that mean less real time tweaking? Thanks

Guest Taika-Kim
There aren't really any differences. IIRC all the same controls are there, minus the keys of course. And I think the rack model doesn't have the step sequencer. The mQ has a lot of differences compared to the "full" Q, but for the buck, it's still pretty much the best thing around. It's a lot cheaper than the Q rack, and most of the missing things aren't THAT important for a really poor starting musician Waldorf homepage for more information (check out the way cool new Attack rack synth!) http://www.waldorf-gmbh.de

Guest Taika-Kim
There are a LOT of differences between the two (Q/mQ) ! The mQ does not have the PPG filter, the reverb time is longer on the Q, etc etc etc. The differences are quite minor, but they do exist. The latest 2.14 OS for mQ brought reverb and surround delay amongst other things. And with the 75 voice upgrade available this March, I also am expecting new features in addition to the polyphony, altough Waldorf hasn't told much about the update beforehand...
