Guest llazi
first of all i must say that i use a pc so i'm a bit pc influenced. Anyway having the money prob in mind i suggest u using a pc cous it's cheaper and better. U get much more programs in pc and if u r in to it, you can get more illegal copies of programs for pc then for mac. I sugest u buying a not such expensive CPU/processor. You schould spend the money in a good sound card, in RAM and HD. Having the pc you schould get reason and after that reaktor a bit complicated but the best software synth maker around. dont what to say else. just buy the pc and then u can ask specific questions ok

Guest llazi
Just to be clear. Generator/Reaktor / www.native-instruments.de Rebirth/Reason / www.propellerheads.se those are native software synths, it means they generate sound Cubase/Cool Edit Pro are main editing programs so you need to start with the synths first and then edit them with the other programs. Anyway i suggest you getting a midi keyboard like Oxygen8 from midiman
