Guest Mike D
Pioneer mixers are very nice!!! I have played with djm 300 and 600 which are lovely. Also played with some gemini but my mates who dj professionaly say gemini is better fro jungl, drumnbazz and breakbeat, not so much for 4/4 techno beats or trance :-)
Guest lifeform
it doesn't matter what the brand is... It's how you use it.
Guest akira
I'm a little reluctant to recommend the Pioneers but only because I've had problems with them cutting out on a big system, I've heard they're ok if you're using them purely at home. Currently I've been using a Numark for the last 3/4 months which seems to be nice but I can't comment on the expected lifespan. Before that I had a Kam which I hated and was glad when it finally broke, the crossfader leaked after no time at all and the headphone cue knobs went shortly afterwards. The one mixing desk I fell in love with was a Beringher (sp?) - really smooth and easy to use but again I don't know how easy they are to break. If you're just using it at home anything will do as long as it has eq's.
