Guest mogwai Posted March 28, 2002 Posted March 28, 2002 I've created a mix but after opening it in Wavelab all the levels are screwed up between tracks. There's just a huge difference in volumes between the different tracks as their mixed together. Is there any way i can maybe even out all the levels ? I've played around with the normalise and the gain but haven't had much luck. Can I use some sort of compressor or other piece of software to fix this? thanks in advance. Quote
Guest Tim Posted March 28, 2002 Posted March 28, 2002 Use a compressor. I reccomend the Waves Gold tools, but even SoundForge has a reasonably good compressor. Set the threshhold just below the level you want to use and set the ratio pretty high (10-1 or more) (only compress the trouble sections, if possible). Quote
Guest pez Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 i would use a compressor with a medium attack and a slow release at a high ratio Quote
