Guest buggy
Hey i was wondering if there's anyone else who's making goa/psy without computer sequencers? i've been trying for years on an rm1x, mpc2kxl, forat9000, and soon studio 440 to make it. A lot of the little change ups are really hard to do while on comp it's so much easier to do, just wondering if anyone else didn't use computer sequencers(they suck the life out of me), and if any music is readily available? oh yea added onto that, if you use hardware sequencing do you do parts live with live mixing or sequence the entire track out? doing it live has been a big challenge for myself, i found to do some nice little semi builds just throw a delay on the kick to make it do a little drum roll dribble type sound, but other things are a bit harder ;o

Guest Johnny Digital (MushRoom
I'm currently doing goatranse only on a mc505 and a emu ultra i don't use my computer sequencer, for now
Guest Johnny Digital
i'm going to try that delay trick on the kick too. "do you do parts live with live mixing or sequence the entire track out? " ??? i don't understand the question but the way i work is: i record most of the track to the sequencer (usually 99.9%) and do some sample triggering live
Guest buggy
well it's either muting/unmuting parts live, you set up a bunch of sounds/loops and just mute n unmute...O_o...the delay triuck works nice;D tell me how it is on yer setup... Guest Johnny Digital
It sounded to messy. i might try some fake delays. back to the gear topic: i wouldn't touch a instrument without a sequencer. it's useless... jd
Guest PsiLoCyBe
Yeah it is rather pointless - you can do so much within the right sequencers ...
