As 2001 comes to a close soon, I would like to see what your favorite releases have been for the year. Maybe this could even be a poll that Children could do for the site. Anyway, The instructions are simple and specifc.

*Please list your top 3 releases, in order, for the year 2001 that are reviewed on this site.*

Thats any album or comp reviewed on this site released in the year 2001.

**But there may only be 3 and they must be in order from your favorite to your 3rd favorite! Otherwise, please do not post:)**

Think carefully and cast your vote!! Also feel free to describe why you chose:) Here are mine -

# 3 - Psysex - "Hardcore Blastoff"

# 2 - Infected Mushroom - "BP Empire"

# 1 - Shpongle - "Tales Of The Inexpressible"

well for me,

1-2. Psysex- "Hardcore Blasoff"(love the funked out vibes, beats and sounds! So fresh(or is it phresh?). Samples are just insane- more like that please! **happenin' **)

2-1. Shpongle- "Tales..."(unparralled sound texturing/manicuring- so many harmonious sounds, rythms and melodies going on at one time- hear new stuff each time I listen to it. Beautiful and sexy

3. Deedrah- "Reload"(has grown on me quite a bit, not as shallow as I had first thought)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@++++++++++++++++
RA- "To Sirius" quickly fizzled for me although I loved it at first...
BP Empire- great in places but overall too obnoxious, discordant, and bothersome- too "metallic" sounding, they went bannanas with the reverb it seems :)
1. Psycraft - Gravitech
(I just got this today and it is the most awesome cd I own!! It is along the lines of Spacecat but much more quality control and effort I find, theset guys live would be an absolute killer for sure!!)
2.Beat Bizzare - Lewd
(Ok, I said I don't like minimal psytrance but I must concede this is an excelent cd, although it seems to be a bit basic in areas, and doesn't always quite flow perfectly, these guys are sure to be an excellent part of the psy community in the not to distant future :) )
3. Retro - 10 Years Of Israeli Trance
( I love the first cd, the second one is ok. I am a big fan of mixed cd's, as I don't often get to go to gigs. This cd sums up alot about the trance scene. Telling us how it kinda began, then how it chenged to what it is now. Nice idea, though the second cd could have been a litle better selection :) )
Yes the poll is about to start, but I prefer that 2001 ends before making that poll, or that wouldn't be fair enough for the latest albums released :-)
it's so great to see lots of people enjoyed Tales of the Inexpressible as much as I did
It blows every piece of audio I've ever heard out of the water. It raised standards for what music is
I can't think of a third one cause nothin else comes close to the level of originality in the above two (IMO).
