Guest miahmiah
i find that making kicks is SO EASY if you have a synth or software that will do quick glides. higher note with higher volume glide quickly (1 step or even 1/2 step) to a much lower octave, same note, slightly less less volume. and hey, if you do it that way, then each kick is cust tweakable to the track it is being used with. Guest Rémi
I know this, thx Even some kicks aren't creatable with simple softsynths, for sure! I have tons of BASIC kicks like u said, but i need something other I have a Korg rythm box, but it contains only crappy samples
Guest coriolis
i want to trade kicks. email me coriolis9@hotmail.com or icq # 157133806 if you're feeling a bit adventurous, and are using a PC, i can provide you with what i use to create some nice kicks. its patch i built in a system called PD (a freeware realtime audio system in the same ballpark as MAX/MSP and reaktor) that allows for a muti-segment ramp envelope for pitch and amp envelope of a sine or other wave oscillator. its kinda weird looking and takes some getting used to but its more effective than any other kick synth i've ever seen (including anything you could build in reaktor, or stomper, or what have you. reaktor, for some reason just isn't fast and tight enough in its FM synthesis to do the job). and its free. you have to jump some hurdles though - theres no saving of your settings or creating presets/snapshots, and to get the kick on .wav file you either need to add your own file-saver to the patch or do a direct record of your soundcards data stream, which you could do on a pro soundcard or on an sblive. no guarantees, just thought i'd offer...
