Guest Pswede
Logic Audio is the best, BUT I use Cubase because that's the only one I know how to handle...
Guest jakemyth
Digital Performer doesn't have a steep learning curve like logic does and i think the plug ins are much better than logic's. The interface of DP's is a lot nicer than logic also.........just such a smooth way to work. Go to www.motu.com and chek the specs. Cubase is very good at midi but lacks for audio............ For me I think Dp is the best sequencer around perfect integration of audio and midi.
Guest coriolis
logic, imho. digital performer looks really good, but i haven't used it and its only for mac OS. it also is more expensive than logic platinum. i can say that logic beats cubase hands down. logic is just loaded with professional features and interface functionality that make it a breeze to work with (once you've climbed the learning curve.) i suppose it depends on how much you want to spend, what kind of functionality you need, and what kind of learning curve you want (any kind of learning curve never stopped me from using anything - and usually the stuff with the steeper curves turns out to be more powerful) i can't say that i'm very familiar with the less expensive sequencers (such as sonar). you can probably work with anything to get the job done, but i can say that out of all the software i've ever used, logic platinum caused me the least amount of frustration and has never made me feel like it didn't do what i wanted it to do. peace
