Guest Pete
Hello. We all know and like the tempo shifts that is common in goatrance. U know, when changing from the steady fourbeat (dont know the word) to the more jumpy 3-beat (dont know the word again). I´ve made some tunes in 3-beat, and changing from fourbeat to threebeat, but i have not figured out how to make a slow transision betwen them, like for example Hallucinogen does all the time. If somebody who knows the tecnique could write a quick guide how to do this, then i would be very gratefull. /Pete

Guest bugbread
Yep, when I heard "Hallucinogen", I immediately thought "triplets". So what software are you using?
Guest Jikkenteki
Those changes Hallucinogen does are not time signature changes as many people seem to think. They are all in 4/4 (Shpongle on the other does have alot of proper time sig changes, such as when DMT goes from 4/4 to 6/8). What he is usually doing is going from a swung accent to a straight one, or from triplets to straight fours or vis versa. What he is basically doing is changing how the notes are accented with in a 4/4 time sig. Actually the second track on The Lone Deranger does have a change from 4/4 to 3/4, but it is not the drift that you seem to be talking about. There are different ways you could achieve that effet. Ever try playing with that swing knob many synths and sequencers have?
