Guest CompleXz Posted May 5, 2002 Posted May 5, 2002 Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this! ;D I make quite alot of goa and trance. And i´m always told that my tracks sound really good, but I never compressed my finished tracks. I know that it´s something that should be done!. But what compressor should I use and is there a standard setup for Goa / Trance ??? I don´t know if it´ll help my tracks because I think the sound is good enough. check them out for ya self! www.mp3.com/complexz Thanks again! Quote
Guest Sliding atomz Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 just Izotope's Ozone it can do miracles for your mastering Quote
Guest Sliding atomz Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 Its damn frustrating when you are postproducing a song for someone and you have overlapping frequencies and the echo of the kick has to go down and the snare up damn.... nevermind me, needed to spill it...here thank U Quote
Guest Boppity Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 I personally like the Timeworks CompressorX. Love & Light, Jim Quote
Guest Ancientz Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 waves gold budle, izotope, timeworx , or an exsternal analog hardware compressor try the vintage warmer too Quote

Guest Sliding atomz Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 especially the parametric equaliser ( hold down ALT) is nice and of course the Loudness maximizer and stuff Quote
Guest CompleXz Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 Yes well is there a standard setup for goa/trance ?? I think that when ever I compress my music, it sounds like @!#$!. Cheers CompleXz Quote
Guest Tranceptor Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 hmm mostly depends on compressing and EQing Listen to my track ( on the general forum), is that ok? Quote
Guest Nick Vertigo Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 the pest compressor is t-racks or probably evollution midi and there isn't a standard setup. your tracks i think it has a good technick and enough good sound but you must take better samples and do more darksounds this is goa continue the good work is needed to goa scene who old are you and where are you from maybe you must realise some of your Tracks i am Nick Vertigo from the group MINIMALISTIX i do minimalmellow & epic with discotechno and sometimes ishraeli contact tunes ido PSYCHEDELIC UPLIFTING GOA i am 22 years old Quote

Guest CompleXz Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 Yes I would haft to agree !! 170 - 175 is too fast... I would´nt go over 155 bpm.... Quote
Guest Nick Vertigo Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 What synth do you have because in my ROLAND MC-505 the 200 is too fast 160-170 bpm is the perfect for goa if you tell me your synth maybe i can tell you the right bpm for your synth Quote
Guest Nick Vertigo Posted May 15, 2002 Posted May 15, 2002 i think you need 156-157 bpm what software do you have? I think the best synth in my opinion always is "FLP" and the best tracker is "MAD" Quote
