ouroboros
is there really any difference other than the keayboard in a kb version and a rack? the new virus kc is 500 bucks more than the virus c rack. do you really need the 500 dollar keys? they account for 1/4 te total cost of the thing. whats the difference between a virus kc and a virus and a $50 controller? ive been looking at all kb versions of things as im interested in the microwave also.. but again the xt is a lot cheaper than the xtk. thnx for your advice. Guest PortaMento
There is no difference between a Virus b, kb and Indigo (except for the keys) and the same goes for the Virus c, kc and Indigo 2. However there's quite a difference between a Virus b/kb and a Virus Rack. The Rack has one less oscillator, less polyphony and less parts. But the new Rack XL is almost the same as a c/kc apart from the missing knobs and buttons. You can see a comparison chart here: http://www.access-music.de/comparisonchart.php4 I would definately save the money and buy a good controller. Guest Jolly Roger
Virus' keyboard is excellent. Same as in Kurzweil K-series. True enjoyment to play.
Guest AgalactiA
Usually, the keayboard versions are much better implemented within the Synthesizer. PLus - they are making very good keyboards those Virtual Analog guys. Philip
