ouroboros
anyone know anything about it? to buy one new is very expensive.... but used very cheap. that makes me think its not very good. but at sonic state people say its very good and under rated. i have read lots of reviews for it...all favorable, but no stores have one for me to try. i already have a yamaha dx-200 so i would not need the extra card to get some cool fm synthisis. the synth looks very good on paper and from reviews...but i would like the opinion of some one who would know more about how its suited for goa/psy trance. thnx. ouroboros
i forgot to mention..... not only do i have the dx-200 but i would also use the cs6x as the contoller for my softsynths and i plan on adding a virus or waldorf xt in the future (hehe the far future as i would have to start saving from scratch if i bought the yamaha). or i could not get the yamaha and i can save up for a virus or xt...but i wont have the money for a long time...months and months.....i could get the yamaha next week. Guest eXpulse
if you are planning on producing Psy trance i would save up for a Virus , Nova or Nordlead

Guest Elementa
I think the CS6x/CS6r fits more for commercial trance style. The drums are very directed to the "dance" market, and many of the other sounds to. I have tried it out alittle, and it didn't directly give me a kick as the Virus does. I'm planing to get me a Virus B this summer, or alternative a Supernova. Maybe even the Virus Rack if i can get comfty with it. The i'll have some cash over for a effect unit or a ER-1. But i suggest that you save up for the Virus or XT. To have a hardware controller like that for software is not important, a simple little Phat Boy from Keyfax does the trick. I don't know the price of it today, but my dad gave on to me when it was new. It was around $250 then. But i don't think it's over $150 today. Or there are probably other midi controllers that are cheaper today. I use the Phat Boy to control Reason, worx great! Hope i could be of any help! !BooM!
