go with the audigy,

as it now supports asio2.0

your ohter choices are soundcards by midiman.

but if you also want 3dsound for gaming plus extra features,

nothing can beat an audigy.

eh... i'd stay away from sound blaster stuff.

I'd say get something good, and dont be afraid to spend 250-300 bucks on it. Cause... You dont want to be stuck in the situation where yer like ... " well, i'm getting the hang of this... But this POS sound that i bought for 150 bucks isn't doing it for me anymore. Guess i gotta go dump another 300 bucks for something cooler."

I personally, always recommend Midiman/M-Audio sound cards. I have a delta 44 with the Omni I/O breakout box. Couldn't be happier with my sound proformance. 2 ms in XP. here's a website to look at www.m-audio.com

it's about 150us and has an amaizing quality and low latency

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Soundblaster sucks! I know 'cos I have one. It sounds like crap and your recordings, no matter what you do, will allways sound buzz.
