Guest TriPeD
thx for the replies but you not answered my quastion: Is nuendo better than cubase for trance if i have only software (no midi)?
Guest Lifeform
Nuendo is more powerful, and much more expensive, but it is harder to learn. If you fidn it hard to learn cubase... Then.. Goodluck with Nuendo. : | I'd go with Cubase SX. Easy to learn like cubase.. But has the Nuendo sound engine which sounds better and gives you better performance... and Graphical Automation, which the new nuendo does to.. This applies to yer Midi question. Guest TriPeD
Thanx lifeform you gave me very good overview but still can i produce trance using only nuendo and software synthesizers ? Also does nuendo has the same futers like cubase (for example nuendo has less track tipes than cubase, like drum for example) ... maybe i asking very stupid quastions, excuse me, i am newbie :-)
Guest Lifeform
Well, someone correct me if i'm wrong... but i believe cubase has always been mentioned when it comes to midi sequencing. But pick any sequencer you like, something that supports VST so you can use th hundreds of VSTi's. I'd go with Cubase SX if i were you. What OS are you running? If yer running 2000 or XP, i'd definitly go with SX. And i promise you... Just because a manual is easier to read doesn't mean the actual program is just as easy. Trust me... Cubase VST is the easiest of them all to learn... If you run Windows 98 or 95... I'd just go with plain old VST. If yer only using VSTi's and Midi gear... What's the point of getting too fancy? Just hope you stock up on that RAM . : )
Guest Mike Indidginus
Lots of things are hard about Cubase Expulse. I think Triped might have been looking for a more constructive answer to his question. Triped, I've never used Nuendo but hear that from others who have that it is much more efficent in terms of CPU usage. Apparently the layout on screen is more intuitive too...
