something better than orion?

hi there . i use orion pro to make my melodies with my own samples..i have logic audio, but i dont know how to open something like a piano roll on it .

can someone help me/??

on an audio instrument channel in the arrange page, just use the pencil tool to create a 'part' (ie: just click on the arrange page with the pencil)

 

now go to the menu and choose: Audio >> Audio Preferences

choose the 'Global' page

go down to where it says: Double Click Sequence to Open Score Edit in Arrange

change it to: Double Click Sequence to Open Matrix Edit in Arrange

close that window.

 

double click on the part you created in the arrange page and it should open the matrix editor (Logics version of the piano roll)

use the pencil to draw in your notes.

 

if you have already selected an instrument (VSTi or one of Logic's) on the mixer page, you should hear the notes as you pencil em in on the matrix editor.
