Sound forge help

Hi,

I just downloaded Sound Forge 6.0 from Kazaa, but it seems it's a demo version that lets me record for only 2 minutes at a time!!

can anyone help me with the "serial number" they ask for, or how to download the full version from Kazaa?

i only need something to record my CDJ mixes, any recommendations for other software would also be appreciated.

If you only need to do simple stuff like record mixes, the free version is called Sound Forge XP . Check sonic foundry's website.

Well Dr. Cheroot, check that folder you extracted your orignal files to. There may be a crack in there that you have to open up inside the installed folder. I may be wrong, but it may be that simple. And if you want a fancier wave editor... Look at Wavelab 4.

Go back into a kazaa and download the sound forge 6 key generator... it'll make you a fake serial code.

Dude, try looking for the soundforge 6 keygenerator either on kazaa or astalavista.box.sk (or maybe you've got it already but didn't see it - look for a file called keyge.exe or something). The registration key is machine specific so other peoples key's won't work (lifeform

i tried locating the key gen but couldn't find it anymore. i had it sometime back, but i deleted it coz i coudn't run it, it was some wierd filetype i've never seen before, and it was also hanging up my comp.

sorry bout being so dumb about this, am not a very techie person.

guys, the key generator is in the form of a .vxd file. what program do i use to run this file and obtain the serial number?

I thought a .vxd file was a virtual device driver file in win95/98...

yup, Full Lotus, i think it is too, and when i try to run it, i get a warning that this file may be used by the OS and other programs, and should not be modified. it does not run on it's own, and i have to select which program i want to use, so i'm baffled as to how to use this file to get a Sound Forge serial number !!??

i'm pretty sick of this. anyone have suggestions on some other free software that will help me only record stuff?? don't need any additional features.

i got this thing working at last, so everything is resolved now.

Yup my goatrance account shuts down up sometimes and blocks out new mails , u can send to vmiki5@hotmail.com

btw, though i haven't tried that windows sound recorder, it would probably have served my purpose. damn, such a simple solution. though of course i will be using SF now since i have it.
