Today Emagic was sold to Appel and hereby there will no longer be made any emagic software (sequencer or softsynths/samplers) for the PC. Only for Mac. Emagic is all ready useed more on Mac than PC.

That's a terrible business proposition. They are gonna lose atleast half of their users. I bet the Steinberg team is jumping around in circles right now, since SX was made for win 2000/XP. SX is better anyways.

its always a stupid plan to not make software for as many platforms as possible. why limmit your costomer base like that?

its just dumb buisiness sense.

Seems to me that it might be good for the software... if you're writing for Mac AND PC, one version always comes out first anyway; the developers have to spend twice as much effort to get the same version on both platforms. At least this way the next versions of Logic will be much better integrated with the Mac OS; less latency, more stability - and the developers will be able to spend more time improving the app rather than coding it for another platform/OS.

Oh, and before you all start on me, I use a PC and Cubase. At least, I do at the moment; whether I continue to do so depends on how I get on with Cubase SX (and on whether I can afford a new Mac when I finally get some cash!)
