Guest reece
very sad news indeed... :-( lucky us Win-doze users got version 5 before they go.....
Guest lifeform
That's a terrible business proposition. They are gonna lose atleast half of their users. I bet the Steinberg team is jumping around in circles right now, since SX was made for win 2000/XP. SX is better anyways.

Guest Faction
Seems to me that it might be good for the software... if you're writing for Mac AND PC, one version always comes out first anyway; the developers have to spend twice as much effort to get the same version on both platforms. At least this way the next versions of Logic will be much better integrated with the Mac OS; less latency, more stability - and the developers will be able to spend more time improving the app rather than coding it for another platform/OS. Oh, and before you all start on me, I use a PC and Cubase. At least, I do at the moment; whether I continue to do so depends on how I get on with Cubase SX (and on whether I can afford a new Mac when I finally get some cash!) ..Faction
